Clayton Miller Victorious in Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Casey’s Modified Nationals at FALS

Fairbury, IL-September 5, 2015- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series would present its richest event in series history and it would take place at one of America’s finest dirt tracks as Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL would be the scene of the 3rd Annual Casey’s Modified Nationals and series points leader Clayton Miller of Elkton, KY would find victory lane for the fourth time this season and fifth time in his career with the tour by claiming the richest win of his career with a $10,000 payday at the extremely racy 1/3 facility.  Miller’s win would come aboard the Lexington Landscape/Powell’s Transmission/Joe’s Small Engine/C. Blackwell Construction/Dane Elliott Industrial/Wilson’s Printworks/Mark Bush Racing sponsored #15 Bandit Race Car sporting a Tucker’s Performance Race Engine.

Miller would have to transfer from a B-Main to make the show and would roll off from the tenth starting position and would quickly make his way into the top five and would grab the race lead from early race leader Nick Hoffman and proceed to work the magical dirt at FALS to perfection and survive a late race caution to score his biggest career win in the biggest event ever sanctioned by the series.  Brent Mullins would finish in the runner-up position, with Allen Weisser working his way to the final podium finishing position in third.  Mike McKinney and 23rd starting Jeff Curl completed the top five.

The remainder of the top ten at the completion of the Casey’s Modified Nationals A-Main would be 27th starting Chad Kinder, Mike Harrison, Trent Young, Jeb Friedman, and Brian Lynn.  The 50 lap, $10,000 to win event would be slowed by seven caution flags.

In preliminary action, Max McLaughlin was the Quick Car Racing Product top qualifier among 83 entries at 13.830 seconds.  Summit Racing Equipment heat one went to Chris Arnold, while Trent Young scored the win in Wiles Driveshafts heat two.  Hypercoils heat three went to Preston Seratt, with Steven Brooks winning Frankland Racing Equipment heat four.  Summit Racing Equipment heat five went to Nick Hoffman, while Mike McKinney scored the win in Wiles Driveshafts heat six.  Hypercoils heat three went to Jimmy Payne, with Jay Ledford winning Frankland Racing Equipment heat four.  The Out-Pace Racing Products B-Mains went to David Stremme, Jacob Poel, Clayton Miller, and Tait Davenport, while Tyler Nicely and Mark Lamont were series provisional starters, with Jeff Curl, Lance Dehm, Brian Lynn, Jeff Leka, Chad Kinder,  and Curt Spalding earning the track provisional starting spot.
