Moyer2(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) was back in the pit area at the hallowed high banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio from September 10-12 for the 45th Annual ‘World 100.’ The three-day crown jewel extravaganza at the “Big E” once again kicked off with a pair of Twin 25 programs. On Thursday night, Billy Moyer unfortunately failed to gain access into the $5,000 to win main event after finishing fifth in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main.

Things turned around in a big way for the #21 team, as they captured a victory in Friday’s Twin 25 show, which was pushed back to Saturday afternoon due to persistent rain showers! Billy clicked off the fourth fastest lap in his group during qualifying prior to winning his heat race. “Mr. Smooth” then grabbed the point on lap three of the 25-lapper and led the remainder of the distance to pocket the $5,000 top prize for his eleventh win of 2015. Billy beat a hard-charging Mike Marlar, Shannon Babb, Don O’Neal, and Jonathan Davenport to the checkers!

A huge throng of fans then piled into Eldora Speedway on Saturday night for the 45th edition of the ‘World 100’ and Billy was gunning for his seventh globe trophy. The Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer won his heat race in preliminary action over Shane Clanton and Jimmy Mars to earn the inside second row starting spot for the 100-lap grind. Billy then ran towards the front of the stellar field early in the $48,000 to win headliner before bringing out a lap 45 yellow flag and ultimately retiring in the twenty-sixth position. Complete results from the long weekend in the Buckeye State can be viewed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

The #21 BMR team will head to the St. Louis area this upcoming weekend (September 18-19) for the two-day ‘St. Louis Showdown.’ The Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois will play host to a $5,000 to win UMP throwdown on Friday night, while Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri will do the same on Saturday evening. Billy visited both venues three weeks ago and walked away with a $5,000 win at Granite City and a runner-up effort at Pevely.
