ARCAARCA & USAC Highlight Traditional Stops

Track Enterprises, a racing promotion company based in Macon, IL, has announced its 2016 special event schedule.  The new slate includes the traditional stops for ARCA at the Illinois dirt miles, in addition to Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis and a second year visit to Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville.  Other series that are part of this year’s events include the USAC Silver Crown Series, the ARCA/CRA Super Series, the Southern Super Series, the Summernationals Dirtcar Super Late Models, along with UMP Modifieds and Sportsman.

The first event of the season is a second year stop at Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville with the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards on Saturday, April 9.  Last year, the Southern Super Series Super Late Models joined them for a Saturday night double header.  This year, action will begin on Friday, April 8, for a two-day show with the addition of the ARCA/CRA Super Series Super Late Models.  With ARCA as well as two of the best touring Super Late Model tours in the country, this is a can’t miss event in a fun destination city.

Next up will be the annual Hoosier Hundred for the USAC Silver Crown cars on Thursday, May 26 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.  The race has built back up to being a great event after a couple of down years with lower car counts.  The series is currently hot, which excites open wheel fans throughout the country.  Joining the Champ Cars will be the UMP Modifieds for a $2,000 to win special event.

In early July, Track Enterprises’ officials turn their attention to two of the tracks that they promote on a weekly basis, Lincoln and Macon Speedways in Central Illinois.  On Sunday, July 3, the Summernationals, known to many as the Hell Tour, will be thrilling fans at the Lincoln Speedway ¼-mile.  The series will then visit Mighty Macon Speedway on Thursday, July 7 for the Herald & Review 100.

On Friday, July 22, it’s back on the road to Indy, as the ARCA Racing Series presented By Menards makes another stop at Lucas Oil Raceway.  Last year’s show was thrilling with Wheeling, WV driver, Travis Braden winning in his first start with the series after coming from a lap down.  The ARCA/CRA Super Series will be on tap as well.  Last year’s Super Late Model race saw John Hunter Nemechek set fast time and come from deep in the pack to claim the victory.

Arguably the biggest event on the Track Enterprises season takes place on Saturday and Sunday, August 20 and 21 at the Illinois State Fair.  It’s the annual stop for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and the USAC Silver Crown Series.  Last year, morning rainfall each day didn’t dampen the spirits of the many fans that came out to see a great show at the dirt mile.  The UMP Sportsman are back on for another season of racing.

The final big event has a little change for 2016, as the DuQuoin State Fair races have each been moved up a day to Saturday and Sunday, September 3 and 4.  The change is exciting for all involved, as it will now allow the ARCA event to be run on a Sunday night instead of Monday afternoon.  The nighttime conditions will be much better for the comfort of the fans as well as track conditions for the drivers.  Joining ARCA will be the USAC Silver Crown cars and UMP Modifieds.

Presale tickets will go on sale in the near future through the Track Enterprises office and online.  Stay updated with Track Enterprises news and info at www.trackenterprises.com and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/TrackEnterprises.
