What:                                  Gateway Motorsports Park and Gateway Kartplex will be going to extremes at the 2016 St. Louis Auto Show.  For Gateway Motorsports Park, events at the auto show are all about the fans.  Perfectly positioned in the #AftermarketAlley, Gateway Motorsports Park will be featuring extreme kart racing in the dome, hosting fan favorite NASCAR’s Drivin’ for Linemen 200 winner Cole Custer.  The display will also feature specialty built vehicles from the NASCAR oval, NHRA drag strip and Kartplex. Fans will also get the opportunity to race the Circuit of St. Louis (Gateway’s road course) through the Gateway’s iRacing Simulator, which is one of the most advanced racing simulators on the market.

Adjacent to the Gateway display will be a special display of NHRA Funny Car Champion Robert Hight’s AAA Insurance Chevrolet Camaro Funny Car.  Hight will be on hand at various times throughout the weekend signing autographs.

Experience Extreme Kart Racing in the Dome

For the first time ever, speed freaks can get behind the wheel and experience the thrill of high speed, wheel-to-wheel kart racing at the St. Louis Auto Show Karting Experience. Auto show guests can challenge friends and family on the custom-designed, multi-turn road course on the floor of the dome.  Gateway Kartplex will offer the latest GT-5 Gateway Pro Karts in a real racing environment for adventurous drivers age 14 and over for only $15.

Cole Custer on site in the #AftermarketAlley to Sign Autographs, Meet Fans

NASCAR’s rising star and winner of two 2015 Camping World Truck Series races including Gateway Motorsports Park’s Drivin’ for Linemen 200, Cole Custer will be on hand at various times over the weekend to meet fans and sign autographs.  Custer was just named as a full-time driver for JR Motorsports’ No 00 Haas Automation Chevrolet Silverado owned by Dale Earnhardt Jr. In this role, Custer will compete for his first NASCAR National Touring Championship.  A full appearance schedule will be posted on www.gatewaymsp.com prior to the event weekend.

Gateway Kartplex

The Kartplex is completely independent from the surrounding racing facilities and can be active while the oval and road course are in use.
