Nick Hoffman wins at Golden Isles Speedway

Brunswick, GA-In the first of four nights of racing at Golden Isles Speedway Park it was Nick Hoffman who threw the first punch, leading the final 17 laps of a 30 lap feature to capture the first ever win in Southeast Dirt Modified Series history and pocket $1,500.

The day started off with a hefty field of 36 modified’s making the call for the Wednesday night feature. Hoffman would vault from his 3rd place starting position, making his way around pole sitter Brian Shaw who brought out the races first caution with a single car spin. On the restart Hoffman would begin to battle with race leader Jason Beaulieu of Campbell River, British Colombia. Hoffman would grab the lead on lap 13 and hold off Beaulieu along with withstanding a late race restart to earn the win. Beaulieu would finish in 2nd while LocalRaceChat.com quick qualifier Rich Michael Jr would finish 3rd. Derrick Ramey & Jacob Hawkins would round out the top 5.

In Heat Race action it was Michael, Hoffman & Beaulieu would would claim wins in their respective heat races.

The Southeast Dirt Modifed Series will be in action again on Thursday with a $2,000 to win main event scheduled at Golden Isles Motorsports Park.
