Lebanon, MO –
Lebanon I-44 Speedway will get an early kick-start to the 2016 NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season with the 1st of 4 scheduled practice sessions on Saturday March 5th in preparing for the April 2nd season opener.

Missouri’s only active Asphalt and NASCAR sanctioned oval, will begin its 4th season in the new NASCAR Era.

The practice sessions are free to the public and will have cars taking to the track from 1 to 4pm. Other sessions are scheduled for March 12th, 19th and 26th at this time.

The Speedway will begin the 2016 season on Saturday April 2nd with a 6pm start time. It is the earliest start date in the past few seasons with hopes that I-44 can get more events in around Missouri’s usual spring weather patterns.

Defending Champions are JC Newell (Pro Late Models), Tim Swearengin (Modifieds), JC Newell Sr. (Sportsman), Jordan Nisbett (Street Stocks), and Jimmy Poindexter (Chargers).

Coming off one of the most competitive seasons in the history of the Speedway, 2016 offers perhaps even more as drivers continue to pre-register to a record number since going back to Asphalt in 2010.
