Farmer City and FALS Next for Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series May 27 and May 28

American-Modified-SeriesGlasgow, KY-May 15, 2016 (www.americanmodifiedseries.com)- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series officials are set to return to action on Memorial Day weekend at a pair of most talked about racing facilities in the state of Illinois as the series will visit Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL on Friday May 27 for a $1,500 to win event and follow that up with a visit to Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway on Saturday May 28 that will pay $2,000 to win the AMS All-Star Shootout.

On Friday May 27, the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will visit Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL and the tour will be in action in a complete program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and a 30 lap, $1,500 to win/$200 to start A-Main event.  Other divisions joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at Farmer City Raceway on Friday May 27 will be the track’s Super Late Model, Pro Late Model, Street Stock, and Hornet divisions.   Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50 and, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, there is NO grooving of tires and the legal tire compounds are A40, A40S, and H40 only.  Home-state driver Jeff Leka is the defending champion of this event.

The tour will conclude the weekend on Saturday May 28 with a visit to Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, IL, with the tour in action in a complete program of practice, A-B group time trials, qualifying heats, B Mains, and the 30 lap, $2,000 to win/$200 to start AMS All-Star Shootout A-Main contest.  Joining the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series in action at FALS on Saturday May 28 will be the track’s Super Late Model, Pro Late Model, Sportsman, and Street Stock divisions.  Entry fee for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series is $50 and, per UMP DirtCar rules for Modifieds, there is NO grooving of tires and the legal tire compounds are A40, A40S, and H40 only.  Defending series champion Clayton Miller is the defending champion of this event.

Activities for the Friday May 27 event at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL will see the pit area and general admission areas open at 4:00 p.m., with the drivers meeting set for 6:15 p.m.  Practice will begin at 6:30 p.m., with time trials at 7:00 p.m., and race action taking the green flag at 7:30 p.m.  All times listed are CDT.  Ticket prices for the May 27 event at Farmer City Raceway in the general admission area will be $15 for adults ($5 for veterans) and children ages 12 and under FREE with a paid adult.  A pit pass will cost $30.  For more information concerning Farmer City Raceway, visit the track’s website at www.farmercityracing.com and on Facebook at facebook.com/Farmer City Raceway.
