Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series at Farmer City Rained Out/FALS Rescheduled to July 29

American-Modified-SeriesGlasgow, KY-May 30, 2016 (www.americanmodifiedseries.com)- The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series 29 competitors were set to compete in Illinois over Memorial Day weekend, but Mother Nature would dictate the outcome of the weekend’s racing activities.

The Friday May 27 event scheduled for Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, IL would fall victim to Mother Nature as the event would be rained out before racing action would get underway.  At this time, there is no make-up date for this event.

At Fairbury’s American Legion Speedway on Saturday May 28, the series had completed all of its heats and first B Main when the rain came and forced postponement of the rest of the program.  This event will conclude with the running of the second B Main and the AMS All-Star Shootout on Friday July 29 on the opening night of the Prairie Dirt Classic weekend.

The next events for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series will be a weekend doubleheader of race action.  On Friday June 24, the tour will visit Moler Raceway Park in Williamsburg, OH and the weekend will conclude on Saturday June 25 at Florence Speedway in Union, KY.  Both events will be 30 laps and pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start.
