Salt Rock, West Virginia (06/24/16) – Effectively immediately, Eddie Carrier Jr. and Grover Motorsports have made the tough decision to close the doors on their racing operation. This brings to an end a 13-year run for the team.

“This has really been a tough decision for myself and the Grover family, but honestly it was the only choice to make,” said Carrier Jr. “We have had an amazing run over the past 13 years, but the decline in the economy has forced us to bring it to an end.”

Eddie is quick to note that the ceasing of operations for the race team in no way is a reflection of any issues between himself and the Grover family.

“Carl and Annette are like family to me and my wife, Jamie. In fact, we will both remain full-time employees with Engines Inc. The only change is that Grover Motorsports just won’t be fielding cars anymore.”

Eddie plans to still race some for other teams from time to time, but as of now has nothing locked in stone. As dates start to come together they will be posted on his website at www.EddieCarrierJr.com .

“I want to thank Carl and Annette Grover from the bottom of my heart for this amazing opportunity that they’ve given me for the past 13 years,” Carrier Jr. thoughtfully stated. “We’ve accomplished so much together, and there’s so many memories I’ll always cherish. I also want to thank all of the fans for their amazing support. This isn’t the end of my racing career, but it is definitely a change in my path.”

Eddie Carrier Jr. would like to thank his sponsors and marketing partners including Carl Grover Motorsports, Grover Racing Engines, Cox Wrecker Service, Hess Stewart and Campbell PLLC, Blue Ridge Machinery and Tools, Integra Shocks and Springs, Port City Racing, Hoosier, Rocket, Sunoco Race Fuels, CV Products, Poske’s  Performance Parts, Dyers Top Rods, Octane Racing Products, Race Tec Pistons, COMP Cams, Wiles Racing Drive Shafts, Pro Fabrication, PRO FABrication Racing Exhaust Systems, Rapture Carburetors, Cizmar Racing, All Star Performance, Frankland Rear Ends, Jones Racing Products, Brinn Transmissions, Schaeffer’s Racing Oil, Real Racing Wheels, Hinchman Racewear, ASi Racewear, Impact Sign & Apparel, The Joie of Seating, Powers Performance Starters, B&D Trucking, Shain Custom Signs & Graphics, Bazell Race Fuels, and MSRMafia.com Marketing Services.
