Pontoon Beach, IL – Another huge field of UMP DIRTcar Modifieds and UMP DIRTcar Late Models are expected to be on hand this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Tri-City Speedway for the 12th Annual Summit Racing Equipment Modified Mania. Not only will the UMP DIRTcar Modifieds be battling for the winners share of $3,000 on Thursday, $4,000 on Friday and $5,000 on Saturday, but they will also be battling for the UMP DIRTcar National Championship. Less than 50 points separates the top four drivers battling for the UMP DIRTcar Modified National Championship. Tri-City Speedway track champion Michael Long leads the national points with Mike Harrison only 23 points behind.  Long has 9 wins in 2016 at Tri-City Speedway, but Harrison won 2 out of 3 of the Modified Mania events in 2015. There were almost 100 different UMP DIRTcar Modified drivers on hand over the three days for the 2015 Modified Mania. Another solid turn out is expected this year.
The UMP DIRTcar Late Models will also be battling for $2,000 to win on Thursday, $2,500 to win on Friday and $3,000 to win on Saturday. Some of the best late model drivers from the Midwest will be on hand to do battle on the 3/8 mile dirt oval.
Grandstand admission on $20 on Thursday, $22 on Friday and $25 on Saturday. Kids 12 years old and younger are free in the grandstands all three nights. Pit admission is $35 all three nights.
