Springfield, Mo.- Mother Nature forced officials of The Springfield Raceway to reschedule The UMP/MARS Summer Nationals Hell tour Event to Sunday October 9th with racing action to begin at 4PM.
The Green Lawn Funeral Homes sponsored event is scheduled for 50 Laps with The “Route 66 Show Down” Paying $6600 to win while Midwest Sheet Metal owner Chris Davis started the ball rolling with added lap money in the Late Model Feature as several other lap sponsors came aboard making it a possible payday of $10,144 providing a drivers leads all 50 laps. For every lap the leader it pays $66 with 2nd place driver grabbing $44. Midwest Sheet Metal had added to the driver leading lap 44 $244. A Star studded field of Super Late Model Drivers is expected.
Racing also includes USRA A-Mods and USRA B-Mods competing for USRA National points. The A-Mods battle on ” The Quick-Quarter” for a $1,000 to win and $100 to start with a $40 Car Entry Fee while the popular B-Mods compete race for $600 to win and $60 to start with a $25 Car Entry fee.
The pit gates open at Noon with Hot laps starting at 3:30 and Racing at 4PM. Pit passes are $40.
The Grandstands open at 2PM. Adult Admission is $25 with Kids Tickets only $5.
