(GREENBRIER, ARKANSAS) GRT Race Cars, Inc. owner and founder Joe Garrison is excited to announce today that Prattsville, Arkansas pilot Timothy Culp will jump behind the wheel of the GRT House Car, which has been occupied dually by Jeremy Payne and Jason Fitzgerald in recent years. Timothy, who fielded a GRT machine late in 2016 and promptly transferred it into several high-profile features including the ‘World 100’ and ‘Cotton Pickin 100,’ will most likely enter a diversified schedule in 2017 being made up mostly of regional specials and crown jewel events. The 26-year-old young gun is excited for the opportunity to join forces with GRT Race Cars and be a part of the long lineage of great drivers who have steered the House Car.

“I am super excited and honored to be chosen to drive the GRT House Car in 2017,” Culp exclaimed this afternoon. “I have some big shoes to fill with all of the great names who have driven Joe’s (Garrison) House Car stuff in the past. We are only about an hour and fifteen minutes apart, so distance will not be a problem and should help us be successful next year. Joe was really easy to work with when we drove his cars at the end of last year and he really helped our program a ton. Hopefully, the pieces will all fall together and we can put in a lot of hard work to win races next season!”

By virtue of not fielding cars for a pair of drivers in two different states like in years past, Joe Garrison also believes that the closeness in proximity to the #c8 team will pay dividends throughout the 2017 campaign.

“We feel that having one centrally located House Car will allow us to concentrate harder on our Late Model program, which should in turn help all of our Late Model customers,” commented Garrison. “I can’t thank Jeremy (Payne) and Jason (Fitzgerald) enough for all of their hard work and dedication to Team GRT in recent years, but being able to work closely with Timothy and his race team – since they are centrally located to our home base – will be very beneficial. This will allow for us to more effectively spend time racing together and testing new things with the #c8 team, while still being close to the business for day-to-day operations. I’m really excited to be working with Timothy and we think he will be a natural fit for our House Car program. He has that drive to want to win and help get our Late Model program going strong once again!”

Located in Greenbrier, Arkansas, GRT Race Cars, Inc. builds top quality Dirt Late Model chassis and Open Wheel Modified chassis for racers across the country.
