WHEATLAND, Missouri (May 31, 2017) – After an exciting weekend in which young phenom Bobby Pierce captured the 25th annual Show-Me 100 Presented by ProtecttheHarvest.com, Lucas Oil Speedway will remain quiet this weekend.

But an action-packed month of speed awaits, on both land and water.

“You know it’s summertime when the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series returns and we’re excited to welcome the drivers, crews and fans next week for the 6th annual John Haas Memorial,” Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. “It’s always a highlight of the season when we have doubleheader action on both ‘Lake Lucas’ and on the dirt track.”

The Haas Memorial, featuring the 250-mile-per-hour Top Fuel Hydro drag boats, is set for June 9-11. On June 10, it’ll be a water/dirt doubleheader with the boats racing during the day time and the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series at night.

The big weekend kicks off a busy summer at the complex. Open-wheel action returns on June 17 for the ASCS Bob Westphal Memorial Cup Sizzlin’ Summer Speedweek Finale, featuring the ASCS Winged Sprint Cars and the WAR Sprint Cars.

The Big RV Weekly Racing Series Midseason Championships, Presented by the Bolivar Herald-free Press is set for June 24. A special Casey’s General Store “Thursday Night Thunder” Presented by KY3 for Kids is June 29. A fireworks show is scheduled, plus the annual Kids’ Bicycle Giveaway.

Not too far away is the inaugural GEICO Off-Road Shootout Presented by General Tire, on the new off road track, July 21-23.

“We want to thank all the fans for coming out during Show-Me 100 weekend, especially those who stuck around or re-arranged their plans to be with us on Sunday after Saturday’s postponement due to severe weather,” Robinson said. “We’ll catch our breath this weekend and look forward to seeing everyone next week and throughout the summer.”
