Hello Race Fans! This is your Race Recap for St. Francois County Raceway for July 15th. This recap is sponsored by C-Barn. The Bobby Johnson Memorial Race was a special show for the B-Modified class. It was $600 to win race which made it a very interesting race. In honor of Bobby Johnson, St. Francois County Raceway had drivers that made their first appearance in a racecar at Doe Run Raceway come out to the front straight away so that the fans can see where our drivers started their racing careers. Now to get to the action.

Up first was the Super Street class. There were 15 Super Streets in attendance divided into two heat races. The first heat race had eight cars scheduled to take the green flag but only seven did so. Finishing out front was the 40 car with Kevin Mosier behind the wheel. Second place went to the 94n of Jason Neel from the seventh place starting position with Marty McCullough finishing in third place in the 44m car.

Heat race number two had seven cars scheduled to take the green flag but only six did so with Joe Merritt finishing in first place in the 71 car. Second place went to Brad Callahan in the 21w car with the 70 car of Mark Crady finishing in third place

The main event was a 15 lap race with Jason Neel coming out on top in his 94n car. Second place went to Mark Crady in the 70 car from the sixth starting position with Joe Merritt finishing in third in the 71 car. Fourth place went to the 40 car with Kevin Mosier behind the wheel. Bring it across the finish line in fifth place was the Super Street BSB Manufacturing Go Fast Award Winner Ricky McCullough in the 44r car. McCullough started tenth, passed five cars and finished fifth.

Running second was the B-Modifieds. There were 21 B-Modifieds in attendance in honor of Bobby Johnson. Those B-Modifieds were divided into three heat races. The first heat race had seven scheduled to start but only five did so. Bringing in the heat race win was the 147 of Kyle Stolzer with Jeff Whitter finishing in second place in the 74 car. Third place went to the 21 car with Chasten Boen behind the wheel.

Heat race number two had seven cars take the green flag. Taking the win was the 44 car of Darryll Dickerson with Shane Blair finishing in second place in the 10s car. Third place went to the 27w car with Jeremy Welborn behind the wheel.

The third heat race also had seven cars take the green flag with the 7 car of Tim Nash taking the win. Second place went to the 4g of Eddie Gross with Lou Driemeier finishing in third place in the 3d car from the seventh starting position.

The main event for the Bobby Johnson Memorial was a scheduled 20 lap main event for $600 to win. Bringing home the trophy, cowboy hat and the $600 was the 7 car of Tim Nash. Second place went to the 10s car of Shane Blair with Jeff Whitter finishing in third place in the 74 car. Fourth place went to the 4g car with Eddie Gross behind the wheel and Darryll Dickerson in the 44 finishing in fifth place. The BSB Manufacturing Go Fast Award Winner for the B-Modifieds went to the 63 car of Scott Jarrett after starting 18th, passing ten cars to finish eighth place.

The third class for the night was the Sprint Car class. There were 14 cars in attendance divided into two heat races. The first heat race had seven cars take the green flag with Joey Montgomery taking the win in the 35 car with Dustin Adams finishing in second place in the 3 car. Third place went to the 16g car with Scottie Gretzmacher behind the wheel.

Heat race number two also had seven cars take the green flag. Taking the win in heat race number two was Robbie Standridge in the 17* car with Kent Buckley finishing in second place in the 87 car. Third place went to the 55 car with Chuck Walker behind the wheel.

The Sprint Car Dash had the top three from each heat race taking the green flag. Bringing home the win and the pole for the main event was the 35 of Joey Montgomery. Second place went to the 87 car with Kent Buckley behind the wheel and Robbie Standridge finished in third place in the 17* car.

The main event for the Sprint Cars was a 25 lap event with Joey Montgomery pulling off the Triple Crown in the 35 car. Second place went to the 87 car with Kent Buckley behind the wheel with Dustin Adams finishing in third place in the 3 car. Fourth place went to the 7c car of Tommy Worley Jr with Joey Boyd finishing in fifth place in the 67 car. The Hard Charger Award Winner for the Sprint Cars went to the 88 of Jeff Wurst after starting fourteenth, passing six cars and finishing in eighth.

The last class for the night was the A-Modified class. There were 14 cars in attendance divided into two heat races. The first had seven cars take the green flag. Finishing out front was the 7 car of Tim Nash from the sixth starting position. Second place went to Jeff Frohwitter in the 26j car with Kodi Savage finishing in third place in the 25s car.

Heat race number two also had seven cars take the green flag with the current points leader, Billy Smith, taking the win in the 14 car. Second place went to the d1 car with Mike Savage behind the wheel and Jeff Asher finishing in third place in the 56 car.

The main event for the A-Modifieds was a 20 lap race with Mike Savage finishing in first place in the d1 car with his cousin Kodi Savage finishing in second place in the 25s car. Third place went to the 26j car with Jeff Frohwitter behind the wheel. Billy Smith finished fourth place in the 14 car with Adam Canterberry crossing the line in fifth place in the 9c car. Canterberry was the BSB Manufacturing Go Fast Award Winner for starting 14th, passing nine cars and finishing fifth place.
