St. Francois County Raceway Results – 8/19/17

Hello race fans! This is your August 19th Race Recap for St. Francois County Raceway. This recap is brought to you by Flooring System Inc. Just like every other night of racing, this night had a few activities involved. First of all, just like always, there were many giveaways thrown out into the stands for all the fans. Another activity was the Power Wheel Series. Roughly 15 kids ages 3 to 6 jumped behind the wheel of their little Power Wheel toys and put on a show for the fans. It was a great show and the kids had a blast. Now time to get to the rest of the racing.
Up first for the night was the Super Street class. There were 14 Super Streets divided into two heat races. The first had seven cars take the green flag with Mark Crady taking the win in the 70 car with Chuck Adams finishing in second place in the 99 car. Third place went to Travis Goodman behind the wheel of a new number 76 car.

Heat race number two also had seven cars take the green flag with Kevin Mosier finishing out front in the 40 car. Crossing the finish line in second place was the 71 car of Joe Merritt with Jason Neel finishing in third place in the 94n car

The main event was a 15 lap race with Chuck Adams finishing out on top in the 99 car. Second place went to the 40 car driven by Kevin Mosier with Jason Neel finishing in third place in the 94n car. Crossing the finish line in fourth place was Travis Goodman in the 76 car and finishing in fifth place was the 70 car of Mark Crady. The BSB Manufacturing Go Fast Award Winner for the night was our ninth place starter, John Carrigan in the 96 car. Carrigan passed three cars and finished sixth.

Up next for the night was the A-Modified class.There were 13 A-Modifieds in attendance divided into two heat races. The first had seven cars take the green flag. Taking the checkered flag was Jeff Asher in the 56 car with Tommy Worley finishing in second place in the im56 car. Crossing the finish line in third place was the r7 car driven by Randy Forster.

The second heat race had six cars take the green flag with Jeff Frohwitter finishing out front in the 26j car with Billy Smith finishing in second place in the 14 car. Third place went to Kodi Savage in the 25s car.

The main event was a 20 lap battle with Billy Smith claiming victory in the 14 car and Tim Nash finishing in second place in the 7 car. Third place went to the BSB Manufacturing Go Fast Award Winner for starting tenth and passing seven cars. That driver was Jeremy Greenwalt in the 18x car. Fourth place went to Jeff Frohwitter in the 26j car with Kodi Savage finishing in fifth place in the 25s car.

Running third place for the night was the Sprint Car class. There were 22 Sprint Cars in attendance divided into three heat races. The first one had eight cars take the green flag with Tommy Worley Jr finishing out front in the 7c car after starting in the sixth place positions. Howard Moore finished in second place in the 40 car with AJ Bruns finishing in third place in the 15 car.

Heat race number two only had seven cars scheduled to take the green flag. Of those seven, Kent Buckley claimed victory in the 87 car with Joey Boyd finishing in second place in the 67 car. Third place went to the 5 car of Kory Bales.

The third heat race also had seven cars take the green flag with Robbie Standridge finishing out front in the 17* car. Second place went to Joey Montgomery in the 35 car and Steve Short finished in third place in the 8s car.

The Sprint Car dash was six lap race with six cars. Finishing in first and take the first starting spot for the main event was Robbie Standridge in the 17* car. Second place went to Kent Buckley in the 87 car with Joey Montgomery finishing in third place in the 35 car.

The main event was a 25 lap race to the finish with Steve Short claiming the win for the first time since 2010 in the 8s car. Second place went to Kent Buckley in the 87 car with AJ Bruns finishing in third place in the 15 car. Fourth place went to Joey Montgomery behind the wheel of the 35 car and Tommy Worley Jr crossed the finish line in fifth place in the 7c car. The Hard Charger Award went to Darin Adams in the 4 car for starting 21st, passing nine cars and finishing in the 12th position.

Running last for the night was the B-Modified class. There were 22 B-Modifieds in attendance divided into three heat races. The first had eight cars take the green flag. Shane Blair took the win in the 10s car with Eddie Gross finishing in second place in the 4g car. Third place went to Darryll Dickerson in the 44 car.

The second heat race had seven cars take the green flag with Eric Edgar finishing out front in the 27j car with Lou Driemeier finishing in second place in the 3d car. Third place went to Eddie Smith in the 20s car.

Heat race number three also had seven cars take the green flag. Kyle Jarrett finished out front in this one behind the wheel of the 10 car with Jeremy Welborn finishing in second place in the 27w car. Third place went to Chasten Boen behind the wheel of the 21 car.

The main event for the B-Modifieds was a 15 lap race dominated by Shane Blair in the 10s car with Eddie Gross finishing in second place in the 4g car. Crossing the finish line in third place was the 27j car with Eric Edgar behind the wheel. Kyle Jarrett finished in fourth place behind the wheel of the 10 car with Lou Driemeier finishing in fifth place in the 3d car. The BSB Manufacturing Go Fast Award went to Chasten Boen in the 21 car for starting 19th, passing eleven cars and finishing eighth.
