Hello race fans! This is your September 16th Race Recap for St. Francois County Raceway. This recap is brought to you by Belgrade State Bank. This night was an important one because it was the final points night. It was a night full of racing action as a few classes had a close battle for the Point’s Championship include a two way tie in one class. Other interesting events for the night would be the Super Street Mechanics Race as well as a fun game of Hot Potato during intermission. The mechanics race was a six lap race with Mechanic Bobby Kean taking the win in Keith Young’s number 572 car. Now it is time to get to the regular action.

Up first for the last points night of the season was the Super Street class. There were 13 Super Streets in attendance divided into two heat races. The first had seven cars take the green flag with Kevin Mosier taking the win in the number 40 car. Second place went to Tony Wyatt in the 67 car while the 32 of Robert Hicks finished in third place.

Heat race number two had six cars take the green flag. Coming out on top was the 94n car driven by Jason Neel. Behind him, in second place, was Mark Crady in the number 70 car while Brian Patton finished in third place in the number 8 car.

The main event for the Super Streets was a 15 lap race with Kevin Mosier taking the win in the number 40 car. Second place, and the new 2017 Track Champion, was Jason Neel in the 94n car. Third place went to Tony Wyatt in the 67 car while Mark Crady finished in fourth place in the number 70 car. Bringing it across the finish line in the fifth place position was Robert Hicks in the 32 car. The BSB Manufacturing Go Fast Award Winner for the Super Street class was Brandon Nixon in the number 20 car. Nixon started ninth, passed three cars and finished sixth.

Running second for the night was the A-Modified class. There were 20 A-Modifieds in attendance divided into three heat races. The first of the three heat races had seven cars scheduled to start the race but only six took the green flag. Finishing out front was the 56 car of Jeff Asher with Tommy Worley finishing in second place in the im56 car. Finishing in third place was the 05 with Eric Sarakas behind the wheel.

Heat race number two had seven cars take the green flag. Coming out in front was the 7 car of Tim Nash with Billy Smith finishing in second place in the 14 car. Third place went to Danny Resinger behind the wheel of the 15 car.

The third heat race had six cars take the green flag with Jeremy Greenwalt taking the win in the 18x car. Second place went Matt Dickerman in the 18d car with Kodi Savage finishing in third place in the 25s car.
