Lebanon, Mo.-Robbie Ewing made the most of his front row starting spot and drove a near perfect race in taking his 1st ever USRA Out Pace B Modified Win Friday night on Tracker Marine Night at The Lebanon Midway Speedway. With a 2 row invert Kelly Hicks and Ewing brought the field to the green with Ewing getting the top spot on the start with Tyler Knudtson and current track point leader Sam Petty close behind. Ewing got a strong run off turn 3 to open the lead as Petty moved into the runner-up spot as Knudtson stayed close in the quick pace feature. On lap 3 the only caution waved as Brian Myers spun in turn 1. On the restart, Ewing launched strongly off turn 2 and kept the car on a rail all night. Petty and Knudtson kept the crowd on the edge with a close battle with Petty keeping Knudtson at bay as Knudtson who is a lead man at The Lebanon Tracker Marine facility was putting on a show in front of the fellow employees. Behind this battle, Rex Harris and Ricky Watkins were door to door with Harris getting the spot with Watkins following. Qualifying heats went to Knudtson and Donnie Jackson.
Despite threatening weather, the drivers and track staff completed the full program in a fast paced night on a Crazy Friday The 13th Night. Other feature winner were Dave Comer( Legends), James Flood( Street Stocks), Kyle Bates ( Midwest Modifieds), Corey Henson( Hornets), John Gamble ( Pure Stocks), and Mark Simon ( Bombers).
USRA action continues in the Spring/Summer Midway Series on Friday Night July 20th with race time slated for 8PM.
