(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) In recent weeks, Dennis Erb, Jr. has scoured series and track schedules looking for the best plan of attack for his #28 Super Late Model team during the 2019 campaign. A final decision was made this past weekend and for the first time in his career, Dennis will follow the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series tour. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace had been a stalwart with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series since 2013 – when he finished a career best fifth in the final series point standings – and before that, Dennis racked up three Championships on the grueling UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour.

The 2019 version of the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series schedule currently features 47 races at 36 different dirt facilities in 16 states. Dennis will look to get off to a fast start in the national point standings during “Speedweeks” events at Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia on February 8-9 and in four nights of ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ action at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida from February 13-16. Several marquee spectaculars also dot the WOOLMS calendar including the $15,000 to win ‘Illini 100’ at Farmer City (IL) Raceway, the $25,000 to win ‘First in Flight 100’ at Fayetteville (NC) Motor Speedway, the $30,000 to win ‘Firecracker 100’ at Lernerville (PA) Speedway, the $30,000 to win ‘Prairie Dirt Classic’ at Fairbury (IL) A.L. Speedway, the $50,000 to win ‘USA Nationals’ at Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, and the season-ending ‘World Finals’ weekend at the pristine Dirt Track (NC) at Charlotte.

“It was a very tough decision on what series to run this year, but with the World of Outlaws deal, it just makes more sense for us,” quoted Erb, Jr. today via telephone while wrapping his potent XR1 Rocket racecars at his shop. “I keep looking for negative reasons to not follow their tour and I really can’t find any. They have a great schedule and race a lot out here in our direction. Plus, it opens up some things where we can still run some of the big Lucas Oil shows, some Summer Nationals stuff, and some other different races that we haven’t been able to run in the past. I’m really looking forward to this year and hopefully we can win some races, be consistent, and be around at the end of the year to vie for the series Championship!”

In other news, Dennis Erb Racing would like to welcome P&W Sales on board as a major supporter of the #28 team in 2019. P&W Sales, Inc, has been providing oilfield and drilling equipment to the industry for almost 50 years. With four locations across Texas and 25+ employees to serve over 650 customers, their staying power in the Oil and Gas industry is fueled by their ability to continue to earn and maintain the trust of their customers. More information on P&W Sales can be accessed by clicking on www.p-wsales.com.

Before the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series season starts with the ‘Winter Freeze’ at Screven (GA) Motor Speedway, Dennis will lift the lid to his season in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition in programs at both Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia and East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida.
