(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team were back in action at LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois on March 30-31 in the eighth edition of the ‘Thaw Brawl.’ The American Ethanol Late Model Tour sanctioned the two-day spectacular, which was shortened to a single-day throwdown after Saturday’s $5,000 to win opener succumbed to Mother Nature. On Sunday afternoon at the 1/4-mile bullring, Dennis and 30 other competitors were on hand to vie for the hefty $15,000 payday.

The two-time ‘Thaw Brawl’ winner laid down the fourth quickest lap in his group during qualifying prior to running second in his loaded heat race. After starting the 75-lap daytime affair from the inside of the third row, Dennis was solid throughout the distance and eventually crossed underneath the checkered flag in the fourth spot. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace trailed only victor Tyler Erb, Bobby Pierce, and Chris Simpson. Complete results from LaSalle Speedway can be found online at www.aelmt.com.

Dennis Erb Racing will jump back on the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series trail this upcoming weekend (April 5-6) in the 12th Annual ‘Illini 100’ at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. Following an open practice session on Thursday, a $6,000 top prize will be on the line on Friday night in a 25-lap sprint. The stage will then be set for another full program on Saturday evening highlighted by a 75-lap grand finale, which boasts a $15,000 winner’s check. Dennis comes into the ‘Illini 100’ weekend ninth in the current WOOLMS point standings and will look to defend his home turf in one of his home state’s biggest races of the year.
