(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing traveled to Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa and 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on April 19-20 for a pair of Lucas Oil MLRA Series battles. On Friday night in a $5,000 to win tilt on the sprawling Davenport 1/2-mile, Dennis Erb, Jr. moved up to third in his stacked heat race and later rolled off from the outside of the fourth row in the 30-lap main event. Dennis then battled hard for a top ten finish in the weekend lid lifter before settling for an eleventh place performance.

At West Burlington on Saturday evening in the 11th edition of the ‘Slocum 50,’ Dennis clicked off the fifth quickest time in Group A during qualifying prior to finishing third in heat race action. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then vaulted from his ninth starting position up into the top five in the $10,555 to win headliner before slipping back to a solid seventh place showing at the completion of fifty green flag laps. Full results from the Hawkeye State double-dip can be located by clicking on www.mlraracing.com.

The #28 team will remain in their home state of Illinois on April 26-27, as the ultra-competitive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will invade the Land of Lincoln to preside over a pair of full programs – each of which will boast a $12,000 top prize. The weekend will kick off on Friday night at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois, while a 100-lapper will close out the doubleheader on Saturday evening at the 1/5-mile Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois.
