(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr., of Carpentersville, Illinois, was one of the 52 entrants that pulled through the pit gate at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois on Friday night, May 10 for the annual running of the ‘Farmer City 74.’ The Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series presided over the single-day throwdown at the 1/4-mile bullring and a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs. Dennis qualified tenth fastest in Group B during time trials prior to grabbing the third and final transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the 74-lap headliner from the outside of the seventh row, Dennis was able to steer past nine competitors during the contest to land in the fifth finishing position behind only victor Kent Robinson, Allen Weisser, Darrell Lanigan, and Devin Moran!
Saturday’s stop at Fairbury American Legion Speedway in downtown Fairbury, Illinois was unfortunately nixed when ‘FALS Frenzy’ was lost due to persistent afternoon rain showers. Complete results from the MARS weekend can be accessed online by clicking on www.marsracingseries.com.
