(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr., of Carpentersville, Illinois, was one of the 52 entrants that pulled through the pit gate at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois on Friday night, May 10 for the annual running of the ‘Farmer City 74.’ The Schaeffer’s Oil MARS Racing Series presided over the single-day throwdown at the 1/4-mile bullring and a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs. Dennis qualified tenth fastest in Group B during time trials prior to grabbing the third and final transfer spot through his heat race. After starting the 74-lap headliner from the outside of the seventh row, Dennis was able to steer past nine competitors during the contest to land in the fifth finishing position behind only victor Kent Robinson, Allen Weisser, Darrell Lanigan, and Devin Moran!

The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series competition will heat back up on May 17-18 in the Buckeye State of Ohio. Dennis, who sits seventh in the latest national series point standings, will vie for $10,000 paychecks on Friday night at Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio and on Saturday evening at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio. The Dennis Erb Racing team will then slip into the Hoosier State on Sunday, May 19 for a $4,000 to win American Ethanol Late Model Tour contest at I-69 Speedway in Gas City, Indiana.
