By Don Craig – Gibson City, IL (5-22-19):  Veteran Dirt Late Model Racer and nationally recognized driver Kevin Weaver and the Weaver Racing Team, are proud to announce that Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches, Inc., has once again agreed to sponsor the team for the 2019 racing season. Jimmy John’s has been Weaver’s major sponsor for eleven of the last 12 years, coming into this season.

Weaver commented, “Jimmy John’s has been an integral part of my continued racing, as a major sponsor over the past many years.  Many people and most race fans, recognize that the name Kevin Weaver and Jimmy John’s, go hand in hand… when it comes to Dirt Late Model Racing.  And, with my induction into this year’s Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame in August, it makes it even more special to have them on the car again this season!”

The veteran driver went on to say, “I cannot thank founder Jimmy John Liautaud, and the company, for their continued support of my racing endeavors through the Midwest.  I strongly encourage all race fans to visit a Jimmy John’s Gourmet Restaurant located throughout most of the United States…and let their manager know how much it’s appreciated that the Jimmy John’s corporation supports Dirt Racing, and Kevin Weaver Racing in particular!”

Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches was founded in 1983 by 19-year-old Jimmy John Liautaud in a converted garage in Charleston, IL.  The company’s corporate headquarters is now based in Champaign, IL.  Since its inception, the company has grown by leaps and bounds, with franchise locations in nearly every state.  The company is known for its obsession with fresh, quality products, and high-speed execution.
