Teabaggers!? Typical lefty response. Dont like the amount of oil to be found in ANWR, why not look into the Bakken reserve? Oh thats right, the tree huggers, namely the Sierra Club, will crap their pants and sue the heck out of everybody using tax dollars to ensure the taxpayers dont catch a break on fuel prices. And if that dont work then the ever expanding budget of the EPA will take the lead. Once again your tax dollars will be used against you.

The purpose of my post was to factually disprove the moronic ramblings of a previous post. His statements were completely inaccurate. Why not look at the Bakken Reserve you ask????? Because it wasn't mentioned in his post with false information surrounding it.
Ya...Teabaggers.... or when conversing with you and Intake, I can use the more politically correct "UCOSWBD" (Ultra Conservatives on Steriods with Brain Damage) if you prefer. But for myself...I prefer Teabaggers. Sorry folks, But I've got no use for "Braindead" Sarah Palin, Rand Paul and the likes. I can agree (in part) with the movements platform ....but IMO they've got real personnel problems in the ranks.
And contrary to popular belief, I'm not a typical lefty. However, I am not a right wing ideological conservative lunatic either. I'm even farther from being a tree hugger. I would describe myself as walking a few paces west of the centerline.

You want to talk about someone not knowing their facts???? Go back and re-read all of the links you just posted. Everyone of them uses the words "estimated" or "potentially" when referencing the amount of oil contained in those areas. Those terms mean that they are unknown facts Jimbo, they are just guesses. As far as you and I "know", there are zero barrels of oil in those areas.
Also re-read the part referencing the facts that TreeHuggers are not the only thing hindering production and exploration. Why is the conservative media and people such as yourself, so focused on name calling and mud slinging that they fail to mention those "other" factors. Such as not being technologically ready to explore some of those areas, not cost efficient to drill there, etc.
Here is where I have a problem Jim.....People like you and Sarah Palin tout all of these untapped resources, start shouting terms like "lets rid ourselves of foreign oil", "drill baby drill", "stop exporting" etc. WITHOUT STATING ALL OF THE FACTS.
"Lets cut our ties with OPEC, burn the bridges with Canada and Valenzuela, et.al. and take care of ourselves first". This is the message being sent to the Sheeple out there. This is why people say and post moronic ramblings. Just like the post I busted above.
Do you really want to risk our countrys relationships to our lifeblood on a guess. And since a large portion of the reserves your referenced are not even cost efficient enough to explore let alone mine at this time...would you even consider doing it anyway, even though it will drive up the price of gasoline higher than it is now?

And for the record. I have no problem with exploration and setting up shop in those restricted areas. With some stipulations (unrelated to the enviroment). So everyone can stop posting links referencing how much oil the US has.
But I also believe the US needs to become less dependent on fossil fuels.
Americans are way to accustomed to our excesses, and we cry like little babies when they begin costing us more money than they are worth.
About 2 years ago, I had an employee who called in to work one day because his car wasn't running. I suggested a bus, he laughed and refused claiming it would cost him $2.
I suggested his dad could bring him...again he refused stating "my dad leaves for work an hour before I do and I don't want to sit around and do nothing until we open". Same employee asked to borrow money the next week because his check was short (dig this) "because his car broke down".
Way to idicative of what our society has become.

You are lumping me in with people and views that you have no idea whether I agree with them or not, at no point have I said I am for any person or organization but you continue to harangue me as though I am a card carrying member of these organizations! You tend to defend everything negative said about the republican party and flame me and anything I talk about that supports the democratic view and call me a liberal for everything i say that you disagree with.
