It's a tuff call,I believe there is all kinds of bmods down that way. I agree gonna be a expensive class with suspension not being limited.. will the highland cars fit in with these rules?

Thats the way the b mods are at Fulton where we run at. We can't run shrader valves or adjustable shocks tho.

I don't know if you allow them but COIL-OVER shocks are allowed @ Highland in the sportmods. This was just recently added, was not in the original rules.

Wtf!!!!!

Fancy Shocks will kill this class B4 it gets off the ground!!!!!! I call BS!!! :( JMO

i am not really interested in this class, but you may want to address the carb issue. are you going to allow a crate motor'd car to run a 4 barrel? i would think you would but i dont know. i agree the rear suspension should be limited.

I agree with you Jimmy, the crate NEEDS the 4bbl.

Seriously, I don't understand why everyone doesn't follow Jerry Hoffman's b mod rules.

His suspension is basically 3 link, trailing ARM lengths(16". 1/2 tolerance IIRC) solid pullbar and no fancy shocks.

The only thing I don't care for with his cars in the body rules. Modifieds look funny without a spoiler IMO.

I agree with Springer and biker as far a the rules and shocks. Whoever makes the final calls a Highland seems to be easily influenced. The guys that I am helping say they may try Highland a few times but since Montgomery is opening and closer they will race there for the most part, plus they like the payout.

Guys here is the deal with B-Mods they have rules at every track that are so far apart that they do not match with the other tracks that run the b cars so we have to come up with a set of rules that will fit many types of B-Modifieds and still be competitive .
As far as the 3 link deal I like that idea but there are not too many purpose built 3 links around any more so when a guy buys a used car to run B-Mods it is usually a 4 bar car so to run as a B-mod now he has to put more money in it to change it to a 3 link .

This class is a beginner / transition class this is not supposed to be a class with bert transmissions trick shocks or other high dollar racing equipment but other tracks have allowed these parts and changed this class into something that this class was never supposed to be and it only COST YOU GUYS ! the racers I would personally like to groom a B -Mod class with some standard rules to save you guys some money like no berts a cubic inch limit compression rule .

Well in closing we are going to try to keep as level playing field with this class as possible We do not want someone coming to our track and out running you with their wallet We want them to have to use their steering wheel as long as we get drivers support we can make this a very competitive and affordable class for every one involved but some must be willing to change ?

Also the crates will be able to run a legal crate carb .

Thanks

Please don't take anything I said as disrespect.

As far as converting from 4 link to 3 link being more expensive, I don't see where you get that. Properly maintaining 4 link isn't cheap.

When it comes to bert/brinn transmissions, they're also a more cost-effective solution. You can pick up a good used one for less than a thousand. Go price a good triple disk setup with a saginaw. The prices are pretty damn close. The more expensive being the triple disk.

I only voice my opinion with the racers interest(IMO) in mind.

Again, don't take this as disrespect.

I see used triple disc for sale $150 to $300 and with limited horse power a 2 disc will work fine and also to save cost a racing stock style pressure plate and flywheel is even cheaper but no one runs this stuuf any more Berts $700.00 up I personally would not buy a used Bert for any price .
But if you compare apples to apples you are cheaper with out the berts you cant compare a used bert to a new triple disc not a fair comparison . IMO
As far as the change over from a 4 link to the 3 link you have to take the bird cages off and replace them with bolt on or weld on mounts and usually the links are too short for a three link set up causing the suspension to react too quickly and causing the left rear to unload .

No disrespect taken I fully understand what you are saying but to have this class we will need a full field of cars not a handful of 4 links or a handful of 3 links or even leaf springs .

I think you can understand that this is just a butcherd up class with no solid rules any where so we have to start some where.
And it seems like the drivers and owners like to spend a bunch of money to race for small purses ? I do not understand this I personally really like this class but just like all transition classes it has gotten way out of hand . IMO

Thanks for you responce

glad to see them ran first off but half the bmods at farmington are on schrader valve shocks and those are the guys that would travel to another track. when it comes to the trans and clutch you can break 3speeds all nite but not a brinn , its not about the clutch its the one time cost ,brinn and bert will save you money all day long and with the weight rule down south, the weight break will kill the farmington cars they are 2600lbs , a vacuum 350 motor was just as competetive at the bluff last year as a farmington open motor ,even faster actually so you give a weight break that much , a crate motor with a 4bl and your no where equal, i have alot of them out there and done alot of testing ,but jmo from experience.
