No one has notified the people at Dirt on Dirt yet, and they are following the series on a daily basis. They still have I-55 listed on their Summer Nationals Schedule Page as holding a $10k-to-win make up race on August 17.
I totally agree with jpugh, jdearing and CT_00. Fantastic feature last night. Caution-free, with multiple grooves. Track was locked down after the B-Main. You would have seen a train race had they not re-worked the race track. Thank you Highland Speedway.

Billy Faust's Summer Nationals win at Calvert City, Kentucky, paid $6000 in 2003. He followed that up with a $5000 win at Fayette County Speedway and a victory in the inaugural UMP Challenge of Champions at I-55 Raceway, beating Don O'Neal and Shannon Babb to the stripe to win $15,000.

mudface, one final suggestion from this old man. When you finish scratching your head, print a copy of this post and put it in a safe place. Then, a few years from now, when you have nothing to do on Friday or Saturday nights during the summer, because the local dirt track has closed, you may...
Don't quite understand the "you can get up and leave whenever you want" statement, stpower.
I want to see the entire program, that is why I go. It should not take 7 hours to complete the program. I don't show up in the 3rd inning, or leave in the 6th inning, of a baseball game.
And...
I totally agree, mmlx212. Last Saturday, they advertised a 7:00pm start, and I was home before 11:00pm, and stayed for the entire program ..... it was fantastic. Last night, Tri-City advertised a 6:00pm start, I left the track at 12:41am, and there were still two races left on the card...
With the weather forecast for Friday being pretty questionable at the moment, I was just wondering if Sunday will be used as a rain date, should one of the Modified Mania programs fall to Mother Nature? If I remember correctly, last year rain pushed the show back to a Friday-Saturday-Sunday...
I echo the last few comments .......... one of the best features ever!!! Thank you I-55. I am not exaggerating ....... I was with my dad, who started taking me to the races about 40 years ago, and he said it was one of the best features he has ever seen, too. Holy cow, what a race!!! Funny...
Not that this is the most important thing in the world, but I was wondering if Mount Vernon Speedway was ever approved for a liquor license (in other words, do they sell beer at the track)? If not, can you bring it in (like Brownstown did for their Summer Nationals event)? Haven't been to...
Wow, someone must be having a really bad day. Geez, read the whole thread, I am not bashing anyone. And look back at my past posts ...... Tri City is a fantastic track, no need to bash. Kevin and Tammy converting it to a 3/8 mile was one of the best things to happen to dirt racing in the St...
