Maybe this team wanted to race on Sunday night and didn't want to go through all the work of taking the motor out and putting another one in. Maybe they were tired of having ump tech their motor. Or maybe the motor was in fact illegal. Look their number up and give them a call.

If a provisional always went to the guy that missed the feature by one spot then why not just let one more guy in the show every time. Provisionals are for guys in a points race who couldn't qualify or a guy that puts butts in the seats. Simple economics.

The official ruling was that he was within the written rules. Highland Speedway has since decided to reword their rules so this does not happen in the future.
