Not sure what you are saying but, I do run a factory crankshaft and 202 valve. a single oem 10.5" clutch disc in my Tricity b-mod.. If you note he doesn't put those in his rules. He keeps it simple to build and tech. I don't break my household to go and have fun.
I think all of the rules should not include anything that you are not going to tech or you can't tech. example: OEM wieght crankshaft or valve size or clutch diameter.
when did the class die? This class has been running since St. Charles was running then went to montgomery and farmington and callaway. Never saw it die!!
I think a lot of people are reading what they want to read. I see issues with the crate rule as well as the ump stickered wheels and shocks. I am not going to go buy new or ship my wheels and shocks. If ump wants this they need to gradually change the rules. This class was originally made so...
the rules are factory 4-link. If you are running that then you have to weigh according to the rules on the website. I believe you will have to weigh the same as me 3300 lbs.
Most pevely cars are three links! This class is for factory four links or leaf! Mono balls are an issue and you are both correct, the body material doesn't matter. However factory firewall and floor pans, in my opinion is a stupid rule! X bars and fabricated firewall and steel fab floor is...
I have a question. Why does everyone say an economy engine is one with flat top pistons? Flat top pistons cost the same as domes or dished. Why is this the decider? everyone uses racing fuel so that shouldn't matter. I'm just curious. no shaft rockers , steel heads, two barrel, etc ok. If...
Lenny, right now we are running whatever your normal track rules are. we just want people there. most are from fulton but pevely cars would be just as competitive. send out anyone that has a sportsman. we need cars then they will decide the rules for next year. so no weight rule now.
as stated in one of my earlier posts, Carb, exhaust, clutch, weight, tires, rpm, gear ratio, and i will add roller cams, can all be easily checked. If you build a 420 ci engine and run it with a 500cfm 2 bbl and 13/4" exhaust tips, this will severely kill the 420. The engine is an air pump...
Dave, The problem I see is, no one wants to tear down engines. Especially in an atmosphere like a dirt track!! I wouldn't tear mine down and I only have about $2000 in it. and it is a 355. I just think the best rules package is one that can be checked very easily, quickly, and FREE.
