if you spin to avoid and do not make contact, you get your spot back. If you spin to avoid, make contact, and come to a stop, you are now involved in the caution, You go to the back with the person who was "charged" with the caution and placed in front of him/her.

During hot laps officials saw how bad the dust was. The water truck was dispatched to the outer pit area, infield and outer pit lane entry. If you were there for hot laps, you would have seen this. Water was also put on the scale and victory lane section all night long.

The cables in the catch fence did their job and stopped the car. The fence and wall do not look pretty and absorbed the impact, but the bottom line is, the safety cables that were in place, (and will be again) did their job.
