Was exposed to drag racing in the 1970's as a young kid and it has had a lasting impression on me as an adult. My father raced several Pontiac Super Duty cars for owner Selden Ruwwe. They raced competitively at several drag strips in Missouri and Illinois, but their favorite track was I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO. I have been trying to locate pictures of these Pontiacs my father raced at Pevely for years. The main car he drove was called "Pontiac Strikes Again." It was a lightweight 1963 Pontiac Tempest.
