If not at the track the final night of racing. I enjoyed having one the following weekend or two after the final night, during the daytime with catered bbq at the track.
Or a few weeks after the final night at a fancy hotel banquet hall. But always before the 1st week or 2 of November. After...
Since there was a post about economy latemodels. This one is better, and gets cars on a cheaper tire! And cheap shocks, in front of the axle only. Also doesn't effect people's engines they already have.
Dustin Mooneyham has been putting this together and already since September 10th or so they...
Wish they ran UMP latemodels and Mods. Too. We went and watched opening night and was impressed with the whole operation. New surface is pretty decent.
Ump follows Lucas's lead most of the time, but don't back it up. UMP follows through with what the rules say. Say what you will but the problem is the rules to begin with!
If Lucas forms a weekly sanction people won't like it. Lucas has ULMA and I left that sanction do to their handling of...
I'm with you on look alike classes being merged. But for Amods the engine rule would have to be changed pretty radically from where it is now. But we end up with Lates, Mods and 4cyl as the classes eventually. Stock frame classes like stockcars and sportsman are dieing, you can't find a good...
Lack of tech was why I quit running crates. I drove to Georgia to get a real good Legal 604 dynoed at 436hp. I had been running the ULMA limited class west of Stl. And was ok with being underpowered against steel blocks, at Lucas Oil Speedway, but the crates got a bonus of $300 for best...
The track layout is great for sprints no doubt. But for mods and Latemodels its a fight to run the bottom groove. Adding some banking would fix it but was told it's not an easy task due to bedrock.
Thanks for responding Kevin. Why not do a 1031 to avoid the tax hit though? Unless property taxes outweigh the difference? I'm sure you have looked at all the options. It would be nice to have Montgomery back open.
