APRIL 15, 2014 MACON, Ill. – Macon Speedway keeps finding another gear as the racing season picks up speed. One week after holding its season opener, the legendary high-banked fifth-mile dirt oval hosts Midwest Big Ten Series street stocks on Saturday, April 19 in the first night of a 10-race tour. Big Ten street stocks will be gunning for a $500 first-place prize in the series opener. In the inaugural season, Big Ten Series street stocks will hold five races at Macon Speedway, more than any other track during the series. Macon Speedway also hosts Big Ten street stocks on May 3, June 21, Aug. 23 and Aug. 30. The series will travel to Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway and Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway and bring stock car racing back to the Christian County Fair in Taylorville on July 24.
