(MENOMONIE, WISCONSIN) Jimmy Mars and his #28 team made the trek to the Hawkeye State of Iowa on April 18-19 to compete in a pair of Corn Belt Clash and MARS DIRTcar Series battles. On Friday night, the Davenport Speedway in Davenport, Iowa played host to a $3,500 to win program. Jimmy won his heat race and the dash in preliminary action, which locked him into the pole position for the A-Main. After running at the front of the field in the early stages of the race, the Menomonie, Wisconsin star ultimately wound up third in the final rundown behind only victor Jason Feger and runner-up Brian Birkhofer. The action quickly turned to 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa on Saturday evening for the annual running of the ‘Slocum 50.’ A huge 46 car field was on hand and all eyes were fixated on the $10,555 top prize.
