410 Outlaw Sprints and AMRA Late Models

CHILLICOTHE, OHIO-The Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe, Ohio had already planned 'what was one of the best bargains in auto racing' with a full slate of 410 Outlaw Ohio Valley Sprint Car Association sprint cars and the powerful AMRA Late Models on Saturday, August 2 for AP Green Night. Atomic is one of only a single handful of tracks nationwide that runs both classes on a regular basis. Now on top of this, Atomic will run the Octane Race Products AMRA/Advanced Services Modifieds for a whopping $1,500 to win and $175 to start, plus Street Stocks, Sport Mods, and an enduro all for just a $12 general admission. AP Green employees from Oak Hill will be admitted for just $5.
With limited tracks running for AMRA points this weekend, Atomic Speedway management decided that it would step up to the plate and make the trip worthwhile to the AMRA membership running for AMRA points. Owner Brad McCown said, "It only made sense to have this event for the modifieds and give the AMRA membership a place to race for significant money. Also, this is something special for our loyal group of racers that race with us weekly here at Atomic Speedway, making a big racing weekend, something bigger."
Vallery Chevrolet and Acord's Pizza and Subs stepped to the plate to sponsor the Modified event for the weekend.
The "Triple Header" all for a significant payoff as posted on the Atomic website, features the three top classes in the region, plus the always exciting Atomic support classes. Saturday's racing will be a big deal not only in the region, but among national racing circles.
Pit gates open at 2 p.m., general admission gates 4 p.m. and hot laps at 6 p.m. Kids 12 and under are free. Pit admission is $30 with kids pit passes $15.
For an evening of great family fun and entertainment for the entire family, experience the thrill of high speed, wheel-to-wheel racing on the Atomic high banks. A kid’s playground is available for the children as well as a full midway of food, treats, and souvenirs.

Also on the card this night are AMRA Modifieds paying $1,500 to win and $175 to start, Street Stocks, and Sport Mods.
August 9 and August 16, Atomic will take off for the Ross County and Pike County fairs.
