KNOXVILLE, IOWA (July 31, 2014) - With his win in the preliminary main on the opening night of the Arnold Motor Supply 360-cubic-inch Knoxville Nationals on Thursday at Knoxville Raceway, Davey Heskin of Minnesota is the early leader in the 2014 Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week point standings. Night number two is Friday, August 1, with the second preliminary main of the Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals. The ‘360’ Nationals are sanctioned by the American Sprint Car Series (ASCS).

The unofficial top sixteen in the 2014 Cox Design Iowa Speed Week points after one night is as follows: 1., Davey Heskin, 50 points; 2., Jason Johnson, 49 points; 3., Tony Bruce, Jr., 48 points; 4., Joe Beaver, 47 points; 5., Lee Grosz, 46 points; 6., Casey Friedrichsen, 45 points; 7., Jamie Ball, 44 points; 8., Kevin Swindell, 43 points., 9., Brady Bacon, 42 points, 10., Dustin Selvage, 41 points, 11., Jonathan Cornell, 40 points, 12., Danny Jennings, 39 points, 13., Ryan Roberts, 38 points, 14., Andy Gregg, 37 points, 15., Cole Wood, 36 points, 16., Matt Covington, 35 points.

The Cox Design & Metal Fabrication Iowa Speed Week includes ten points-paying sprint car feature races in ten days, July 31 - August 9, between the Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville and the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa. The top three places pay $2,500, $1,000, and $500, respectively, with the winner declared the Jesse Hockett “Mr. Sprint Car” titlist.
