Desert Thunder at Central Arizona Speedway for the IMCA racers was a good time for race fans like myself who's racing season's have been over for a least a month, just enough time where you are thinking it sure would be nice to see some racing.
The wife and I went to see the Grandson in Phoenix and I had the chance to get out to the speedway.
As you can tell this was the final day of a two day event run starting at 1:30 in the afternoon, dry, dry track but these Arizona racers run this kind of track all the time.
A Arkansas driver came in and stole their Thunder And and the money that went with the trophy. Jeff Taylor took over the lead and pulled away after every yellow flag.
Other a-main winners were, X-Mods, Brandon farrington, Pure Stock, Arthur Lacy, Mod Lite's, Austin Kuehl.
This was the first year but I can only see the event getting bigger, enjoy.
