NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 18 Round Up

CARTERSVILLE, GA – Richie Stephens of Salem, AL took a couple more steps closer to the 2015 NeSmith Performance Parts Street Stock Division Presented By AR Bodies National Championship with a pair of Week 18 wins over the weekend. Although only one win will count in his best 14 week total, Stephens is also building up his tie-breaker bank with a total of 16 wins.


Stephens opened the Week 18 NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division competition with a $1,000 victory in the Dixie 50 co-sanctioned by the Mississippi Street Stock Series on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, MS driving the Rocketman Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.


On Saturday night, Stephens turned in his second NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division win of the weekend at Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, MS. The Friday night win brought Stephens’ best 14 week total to 698 points after 16 wins, 20 top five finishes and 21 top ten finishes in 25 races. Stephens is two 50-point wins away from a perfect best 14 week total of 700 points.


Branden Harris of Molino, FL is second in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 679 points after six wins, 14 top five finishes and 16 top ten finishes in 18 races. Harris drove the Coastal Engine and Machine Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to a second-place finish on Saturday night at Northwest Florida Speedway in Baker, FL.


Kevin Mitchell of Pensacola, FL moved up to the third spot in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings, reaching the 14 week mark of his season with 641 points after finishing fourth on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in the Guy Brothers Roofing Chevrolet. Mitchell has one win, eight top five finishes and 11 top ten finishes in 14 races. Just eight points separate third through eighth in the standings.


Jason Jarrell of Hattiesburg, MS is fourth in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 639 points after nine top five finishes and 14 top ten finishes in 19 races. Jarrell finished 19th on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in the Jarrell Rigged Race Cars Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine.


Larry Faulk of Monroeville, AL drove the Faulk Motorsports Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine to a fourth-place finish on Saturday night at Northwest Florida Speedway, and is fifth in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 637 points. Faulk has one win, ten top five finishes and 15 top ten finishes in 16 races.


David Williamson of Seminary, MS did not compete in Week 18 NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division action, and dropped to sixth in the standings with a best 14 week total of 635 points. Williamson has eight top five finishes and 13 top ten finishes in 15 races driving the Sauls Farm Ford.


Jay Geddie of Ellisville, MS is seventh in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 634 points after seven top five finishes and 13 top ten finishes in 14 races. Geddie finished 12th on Friday night at Hattiesburg Speedway in the Geddie Tree Service Chevrolet.


Bo Bailey of Milton, FL drove the L&L Construction Services Chevrolet to a second-place finish on Saturday night at Southern Raceway in Milton, FL and is eighth in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 633 points. Bailey has two wins, 13 top five finishes and 16 top ten finishes in 17 races.


Bubba McGhee of Atmore, AL is ninth in the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with a best 14 week total of 617 points after five top five finishes and 12 top ten finishes in 16 races. McGhee drove the MEC Trucking Chevrolet to a seventh-place finish on Saturday night at Northwest Florida Speedway.


Steve Pate of Heflin, AL rounds out the Top 10 of the NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division standings with 613 points after two wins and 14 top five finishes in 14 races over 13 weeks. Pate finished second on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL driving the Pate Racing Chevrolet.


In other NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division Week 18 action, Brandon Kirkpatrick of Jay, FL drove the Kirkpatrick Racing Chevrolet to his second win of the season on Saturday night at Southern Raceway.


Russell Chapman of Margaret, AL took his second NeSmith/AR Bodies Street Stock Division win of the season on Saturday night at Talladega Short Track driving the Argo Air Chevrolet powered by a $3,495 Chevrolet Performance 602 Circle Track Engine. Chris Bayhi of Baker, FL was a first time winner on Saturday night at Northwest Florida Speedway.
