"This race proved extremely popular last season, giving our Street Stock drivers an opportunity to not only compete for extra money but also get the big-race exposure that's often only associated with the Late Models," Lucas Oil Speedway General Manager Dan Robinson said. "We're thrilled to have Whitetail Trophy Hunt returning as the presenting sponsor.

"We're expecting a deep field of Street Stock competitors from all over the country for this race," Robinson added. "It should make for an entertaining and highly competitive weekend of racing."

Complete entry details will be announced in the near future on LucasOilSpeedway.com. Last year's Big Buck 50 attracted more than 75 entries with Jeremy Russell driving to the victory.

"The Street Stockers are such a popular division, we felt we needed to kick that up a notch," Craig Danuser of Whitetail Trophy Hunt said. "I felt we could have a big race and draw lots of cars and that kind of proved itself last year and I think it will keep getting bigger and bigger every year."

This year marks the 28th anniversary of the Whitetail Trophy Hunt at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. Event dates will be Nov. 12-14, with this tremendously popular hunt bringing in participants from all over the United States and abroad. Entries are received on a first come, first served basis and limited to a maximum of 230 hunters.

Missouri holds the world record for non-typical whitetail deer racks and the results from each year's hunt reflects the kind of trophy deer that makes this region of the country famous. Superior deer hunting is not the only thing the Whitetail Trophy Hunt is noted for. Many hunters bring their families along to enjoy the beautiful lake area scenery, unique shops, crafts and outlet malls.

The Whitetail Trophy Hunt builds a camaraderie that brings hunters back again and again. More than $4.5 million in cash and prizes has been awarded over the years to many fortunate whitetail hunters. Plus, the five-year Show-Me Showdown is in its second year for the 2016 hunt. This promotion will provide an additional cash bonus prize fund that can go up to $55,000.
