Richmond, KY – December 3rd, 2017 – Richmond Raceway in Richmond, KY will have new owners/promoters when the 2018 racing begins and the folks at the promotional helm of the 3/10 semi-banked clay oval known as “The Beast of the East” will be the husband and wife duo of Bill and Stacy Lupinos.

Bill started going to Lebanon Valley Speedway in New York where his father worked 43 years ago and Bill eventually had many odd jobs on race night. After high school, Bill spent time in a race shop and helped with a Dirt Modified for a few seasons and has followed dirt track racing since. After serving in the United States Army, Bill began a career in sales with Schwan's Home Service for nine years, eventually ending up at PepsiCo, where he currently is employed. Bill met his wife, Stacy, and their first date was at Super Dirt Week at the old Syracuse Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY in 2000. Bill plans to take his love of dirt track racing and his fifteen years of sales and marketing experience with PepsiCo and apply that to the future of Richmond Raceway.

Bill’s wife, Stacy, grew up in Connecticut and spent her childhood competing in horse shows, eventually moving up to the National Appaloosa level, showing at the Kentucky Horse Park during her senior year of high school. Mrs. Lupinos topped that show season off with a National and Reserve National Championship in Columbus, Ohio. Their family has grown to include their two boys, Adam and Aaron, and they have traveled all over the country to attend races from Washington to North Carolina.

Bill and Stacy’s children, Adam and Aaron, are avid baseball players. At sixteen years of age, Adam, who is a pitcher and infielder, helped his team advance to the Washington State Tournament. Also, their other son Aaron, who is thirteen years of age and is an infielder, played on a team that won the District 10 Tournament of Champions Title in Washington State. Both boys are planning to try out for their respective teams when they arrive in Richmond. The entire Lupinos' family has been a part of multiple charity organizations, which have included Relay for Life for the last three years. They hope to continue their charitable efforts in and around the Richmond-area.

Bill and Stacy Lupinos will be formally introduced as the new owners and promoters at the track’s 2017 Awards Banquet on Friday December 15, 2017. They will be there to meet and greet with the racers, race teams, and race fans and answer any questions about the upcoming 2018 racing season.

To receive any information about the upcoming 2018 season at Richmond Raceway, interested parties can contact Mr. Lupinos by email at Bill@richmond-raceway.net and Mrs. Lupinos at Stacy@richmond-raceway.net.
