Running a track is extremely hard work. It is like having a second full time job. My dad ran Greenville for three years and he was at the track 7 days a week. There was always something that needed to be done.
If the track keeper is good, the four wheelers will not hurt the surface. It may...
I did race for 12 years. My father ran Beaver Creek for 3 yrs. The way he widened the corners and increased the bank was with a road grater. It was not difficult, just time consuming. Lap after lap after lap.
I am not trying to start debate about where you race. I had a really good time...
Seems like this is only an arguement locals are having about Bedrock. If Bedrock widened their track and banked their curves this would be a non-issue.
Somebody should ask Jess Tompkins if they could open Beaver Creek back up. It is a shame to drive by their and see it sit. Track wasnt always...
I placed 4th at Bedrock 9/29 and I had not even drove a kart for about 4 years. If we had a couple of more nights we would have had it dialed in. Bedrock is a flat track that makes it hard to setup for. The 01 has very few races on it.
That track tightened up so bad it was crazy. If you guess loose, which you did, you guessed right. However, you were the only one I talked to that did.

I am making my return to racing tonight at Bedrock. Who is coming?
You may be surprised who my sponsor/crew chief will be this evening, see ya there.
Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces.
How much does tire prep really cost? I am sure it pales in comparison to the cost of National motors and top of the line chassis. Plus the tire cost is still there. The outlawing is a result of safety, not the cost of racing.
