    What would you do?

    1) Make shows quick, concise and fun. This includes prompt start times, but also short intermissions, tight rule enforcement, down-time entertainment. 2) Make it interactive. Develop an iPhone/Android application that includes driver biographies, statistics, photos, videos. In the future find...

Five years later, we still thank you

Friends, Five years ago tonight, the lives of every one of our family members changed drastically and dramatically when our father and husband, Dave Walker, fell ill with what we thought would be a stroke. Later in the week we would find out his diagnosis, unfortunately was an incurable brain...

    Marion Chasteen checkered flag

I remember Marion as being quiet, confident and very good at what he did. My dad respected everyone he worked with, but there was a deeper respect for Marion. In the professor/pupil manner. I have a feeling, though I never thought to ask dad, I'm certain he would call Marion a mentor and a...

    More nascar news

Don't forget the race at Infineon. Talk about market saturation. They eliminated a race at Darlington for California and it has paid them back accordingly.

    best looking car

Some of my favorites were Mark Voigt's modified, late 80s'; Todd Rehg's first car (blue #4); Gundaker's modified; Heimberger's car (saw pics, never saw it race), Herman Handradtt's blue #68 that he drove from home to Belle-Clair because it was right next door. And truthfully, I LOVED the...

    firstever

I have to say White City was probably the most pure fun I ever had at a racetrack. Particularly my favorite were the street stock nationals. You never really knew who was going to show up and guys like Seets and Davey Jones would build cars specifically for the race, year after year. The...

    Mufflers!

Nicely said Jimmy. For as much as racers (myself included) talk about the "We were here first" factor, not much has been done to meet in the middle with most communities. Curfews have been helpful to bridge that gap, but still more can be done to be community-friendly.

Shannon Babb in car video from La Salle UMP Summer Nationals!

Jimmy, How difficult is it to set up an in-car camera. As with most things, I'm certain it's gotten to be much easier, but even at the lower levels of racing it still can't be that simple.

NASCAR hands Long, crew chief record penalties

$200,000 for a non-points race!?! Two questions for NASCAR: What would you have done had a big name guy tried the same thing? What would you have done if a big name team had done it in a points race? My guess is that it wouldn't have been the same. Can't disappoint the fans by not...

Gate Man/Light Man Needs Your Prayers

Denny, Get well soon. You have always been one of my favorite people in the St. Louis area. Everytime I think about you, or hear your name I can't help but smile. Your energy and smile bring so much to Highland and Belleville. Get well soon so you can see your Bulldogs make a long run...
