This year in my opinion has been a lackluster year at PIR. Had a few nights with not the best track conditions plus the limitiing of running late models.
I would like to encourage my fellow fans plus drivers and crews to add their comments to the post started by Ed Dunning on PIR facebook...
Awesome night after all the rain. I understand what you mean about the bleachers but there is not much you can do now especially when you look at the height of the suites.
Anyways glad to hear you all enjoyed my home track. That was a typical race night at PIR.
Double header this week at Paducah. $3000 Fri and $10,000 Lucas Oil Saturday night. Here is what I have found so far according to websites or press releases.
John Blankenship
Scott Bloomquist
Steve Casebolt
Dennis Erb- Fri & Sat
Jason Feger- Fri & Sat
Bill Frye- Fri & Sat
Bart Hartman-...
Its bad when a track is like that and it can be called better than normal. I went Friday and was disappointed after the Early Bird reviews. As much as I hate to say, the previous owner prepped a better track.
As far as dust, take out the dogleg and put some clay down...that should fix it.
What big rain? I live 20 minutes from the track and we didn't have any big rain. Needless to say I will not being going back tonight. I even have someone who will pay my way and I am not going.
I would say about 300 in the stands. Absolutely awful show.
The track kissed. It was super rough around the bottom and the groove was maybe three cars wide. Racing kissed even more. Didn't start the first race until around 8:30. Took an hour to run 4 mod heats at 8 laps a piece...
Joe ran a great race, just watch the clips.

If you cannot tell the video starts with Shirley, then Babb, Korte, Morris, and finally Mars. The top 5 for the early part of the feature. Probably about 10 laps...
Walker has been and always will be a wild driver. He ran over a buddy of mine in the first lap of heat race at PIR last year. My buddy went and asked him what happened and he responded with he wasn't paying attention. Bet that makes the drivers feel real good knowing another driver isn't...
Sorry to hear about the Illinois people being treated poorly. As neighboring Kentucky dirtfan hope you come to PIR cause I bet you won't be treated that way there.
