(Paducah, KY) Paducah International Raceway race fans have endured a variety of elements this year. From the freezing temperatures on the night of the World of Outlaw Sprint cars to the recent heat that has been almost unbearable, to the occasional rainout the fans have been through it all. In honor of the loyal dedicated fans, PIR will have ½ price night this Friday, August 10th, 2007.
All general admission tickets for adults will be just $5. Children 12 and under will remain free of charge. Fan appreciation night and the ½ price tickets takes place just once a year to reward the fans that have been supportive of PIR and to bring potential new fans to the track for the very first time. Door prizes will be given away during the evening with one lucky race fan winning the opportunity to go for a ride around the racetrack at speed in the Paducah International Raceway 2-seat late model racecar.
Fans attending ½ price night will also have the opportunity to register for a chance to have their name drawn to become qualified for a chance to win a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado pickup courtesy of PIR, Chevy Racing, and Cache River Chevrolet.
Tickets are just $5 for adults and are available at the door. The grandstands open at 5pm with hot laps at 6:45 and racing at 7:30 sharp.
NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt Jr, Ken Schrader and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of Co-Owners as a partner in September of 2006. The 3/8th mile high banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights, The USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge.
