The FASTRAK Racing Series announced today that Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, TN will again be hosting the FASTRAK ‘Late Model Showdown at The Gap’ on April 25.
With FASTRAK Race Promotions promoting the event, race fans will be treated to feature events for both the FASTRAK Southern/Smokey Mtn./Mid East Touring Series Late Models as well as local Super Late Models. Both events will be $3000 To Win events.
“I’m really excited about the Late Model Showdown at The Gap as it will cater to fans of both the FASTRAK Racing Series and fans of Super Late Models” said FASTRAK Founder and CEO Stan Lester. “With the level of competition we’ve already seen in the first two FASTRAK Southern/Smokey Mtn./Mid East Touring events this year, the addition of the Super Late Models to the schedule of events should prove to be a special night of racing fans don’t want to miss. Last year, the FASTRAK ‘Late Model Showdown’ was held in June and the night had something for everyone. The grandstands were virtually filled to capacity and we would have been hard pressed to fit many more teams in the pit area. Last year there were a combined 70 Late Models on hand for the FASTRAK ‘Late Model Showdown at the Gap’. We’ve increased both purses this year where the winner of each feature will collect $3000 which could well raise the bar on the kind of racing fans can expect to see on the track”..
“I know a strong contingent of FASTRAK Southern/Smokey Mtn/Mid East Touring Series drivers will be on hand and I believe we’ll see all the top Super Late Model competitors in the east Tennessee region on hand again this year for the twin $3000 To Win events.
