DIRT NATION presented by Switchme.net, one of the fastest growing and most popular weekly racing radio programs broadcast over the world wide web has announced that entries are now being accepted for the Switchme.net 2004 National Dirt Late Model Championship program that will award the winner a minimum of $1,000 in cash from Switchme.net, a new Rocket Chassis and other prizes. The program is open to any ‘Super’ Late Model, Steel Block Late Model or Limited Late Model driver across the United States that competes on dirt. The presentation will be made on the DIRT NATION special live broadcast from the Motorsports 2005 show near Philadelphia, PA on Saturday January 15.

“That was another idea that we worked out and we came up with a program that is called the Switchme.net National Dirt Late Model Championship,” stated Richard Gdovic, President of Switchme.net. “Race people support products and we see this as a way to support race teams. This was another attraction that will work for us and for the show and it’ll help a driver out too.”

Teams need to get their information in as soon as possible.

“It will be a very simple process of drivers sending in their results from the 2004 season,” stated Dave Seay, a co-host of DIRT NATION along with Brian Tidball and Doc Lehman. “Points will be given for first place finishes, second’s and so on. All results will be checked for accuracy and it is open to all weekly racers and tour drivers that run a Late Model (Super or Limited).”

Teams need to send in a list of their 2004 feature finishes along with the dates, tracks and a track contact telephone number for verification. Email list of finishes and other information to: dirtnation@vamotorspeedway.com by midnight December 1, 2004.

“Richard wanted to do something extra and once we did title sponsorship, and once you add in the other two deals he is doing with the ‘Race To Riches’ program at Virginia Motor Speedway where a lucky fan, every week, got a chance to win $25,000, which one fan did on our last night of the season” continued Seay. “And he is also a contingency sponsor for all six of our divisions at Virginia Motor Speedway.”

The winner will receive $1,000 from Switchme.net in addition to the champion’s trophy and champion’s jacket, a new Rocket Chassis frame from Rocket Chassis, a free helmet paint scheme from Ron Fleenor’s Race Art Custom Helmets and a 100 print package from CustomRaceArt.com valued at $1,500.

“I think that is exciting for all parties involved,” commented Brian Tidball, co-host of Dirt Nation presented by Switchme.net. “As for Switchme.net it adds that much more exposure. For the racers I think it’s cool because this is based on a similar basis to what the Valvoline Cup was. It’s a good situation for everybody I think.”

“We really appreciate the generosity of not only Richard Gdovic of Switchme.net and certainly Mark Richards and Steve Baker’s unselfish contribution as well as Ron Fleenor’s and everyone else’s,” said Doc Lehman, co-host of Dirt Nation presented by Switchme.net. “What we are trying to do through the radio show is give something back to the racing community in our own small way but it’s these huge contributions and backing by people in the sport that really compliments what Switchme.net doing.”
