For one Central PA standout driving a sprint car is just another day at the office. His nameplate reads “Lance Dewease,” and with that name comes with some of the greatest accolades in the sport today. Now he is after one trophy that he has yet to attain, Champion of the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions.

Dewease has been driving now for 22 years inside the cockpit of some of the fastest machines on the PA circuit. Catching some of his most memorable rides with legendary sprinters such as the Dyers #461 “Brickmobile” and the Al Hamilton owned #77, Dewease has become a recognized name all across the country.

Reading his resume it is clear to anyone that he will do what it takes on the track to be as competitive as possible. In 2008 he has teamed up for another season with Lisa and Donny Owens and with the new team comes a new energy that helps push Lance to the edge in competition.

“Lisa and Donny have been real good car owners for me,” the 12 time Track Champion noted. “Everything is great with the team and we are all looking forward to doing a lot of traveling this year.” Dewease is a 12 time Track Champion in Central PA, and championships don’t come easy in “Posse Land.” Six championships at Port Royal, 5 at Williams Grove, and 1 at Lincoln, all hotbeds for some of the toughest weekly competition in the United States.

As for seeking the 2008 O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions season championship, Lance added, “We’re good with our points right now, some of the guys ahead of me are not going to run this type of schedule. But, we are not just going to sit back, we are going to go out there every night and perform. If you perform well the points will take care of themselves. We are focused on wins right now more than anything.”

Dewease has spent a lot of time on the circuits of Pennsylvania in his career, but he is excited about hitting some tracks that he has yet to compete on in his storied career. Of the places Dewease and the #30C team are looking to kick it sideways on will be the Thunder Through the Plains, where the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will be competing at venues in Kansas and Nebraska.

“We are really looking forward to the Thunder Through the Plains trip. I haven’t been to some of those tracks and I think it will be fun,” Dewease stated. “Belleville, for example, is known for it’s banks and that is going to be a lot of fun with these cars.”

In 2008 the Lisa and Donny Owens owned, Lance Dewease piloted machine will be supported by Advanced Development Services, Hanks Performance Products, Weinberg & Miller, LLC, DMI Diversified Machine, Bulldog Rear Ends, Jake’s Custom Golf Carts, Pancho’s Racing Products, Morrison Racing Engines, Keizer Wheels, Wings Unlimited, and Pro Shocks. Additional support is brought to the team by, Astro Titanium, Bell Helmets, FK Rod Ends, Hoosier Racing Tire, Infinity Designs, Design 500, Tom Shockey Collision, Speed Dawg Racing Apparel, Grand Families of America, and WRT Web Designs.

“We know we have a tough schedule ahead of us, but I feel that we are ready for the action. Things were getting a little stale (in PA) and the opportunities are here for me to once again to do some different stuff,” Lance added. “I will always love the racing in Pennsylvania and the fans have been great to me over the years, but the energy and the excitement of doing the additional racing with the All Stars is pushing us back out on the road.”
