Auburn, Michigan (12/19/2006): 13-year-old Brock Kamlay has started a
racing career most drivers, let alone teenagers can only dream about.
Kamlay became the youngest driver in the United States to win both a
track championship and the Rookie of the Year title in a full bodied stock
car during the 2006 season+ACE-

The Auburn, Michigan teenager won both titles in the Mini Stocks
division at the fast 3/8s mile high-banked paved oval of the Owosso (MI)
Speedway in Ovid, Michigan. Now Kamlay is looking ahead to the 2007 season,
but the 2006 campaign wasn+IBk-t done yet for the Great Lakes State
driver.

Kamlay made his Outlaw Bodied Super Late Models debut in the Pavement
Super Late Models portion of the Mason-Dixon/Dixieland Challenge II at
the DeVos (MI) Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan on Friday December 15,
2006+ACE-

In addition to making his Super Late Models debut, the 13-year-old ran
up against the likes of 2006 Kalamazoo (MI) Speedway Super Late Model
Champion, Terry Senneker as well as Dave Sensiba and Berlin (MI) Raceway
regulars, Johnny VanDoorn, Chris Anthony, Greg Usher and others.

The Wolverine State teenager also had to go up against Columbus, Ohio
veteran, Robbie Pyle, who won the ASA Late Model Series Saturday Portion
of the weekend and pulled double duty in the Pavement Super Late Models
Division on Friday night.

Kamlay would stay out of trouble throughout the event and showed a lot
of patience and go on to finish eighth on the 0.25 mile flat indoors
concrete oval inside the massive 162,000 square foot DeVos Place.

+IBw-If we didn+IBk-t get tore up in practice and if there weren+IBk-t
so many wrecks, I think we might+IBk-ve finished a little higher.+IB0-
Kamlay stated as he reflected on his first ever appearance in a Super
Late Model. +IBw-We got caught up with another car in practice and had
to fix some damage, but even after that, the car was real good.+IB0- He
added.

Kamlay qualified a disappointing 19th out of 24 cars on hand and during
the caution plagued and eventually time limited Feature. So the
teenager would start the scheduled 25-lap Feature from the inside of the 10th
row.

During the schedule 25-lap Feature that was cut short due to time
restraints, Kamlay would stay out of trouble and pick up one position after
another once despite the numerous cautions and would consistently pass
cars during the limited amount of time the green flag was displayed.

+IBw-Everyone in front of us and behind us kept taking each other out,
so I just tried to stay out of the way of all the craziness. We just
couldn+IBk-t get going long enough to really be able to race+ACE-+IB0-
Kamlay continued.

+IBw-We did get some sheet metal tore up even with being as careful as
we could. But man that was a lot of fun running with guys likes Finley,
Senneker, Sensiba and all those West Siders.+IB0- Kamlay said. The time
limited Pavement Super Late Models Feature saw 2006 Spartan (MI)
Speedway Super Late Model Champion, Doug Finley go on to win the Feature.

The 2007 season is fast approaching for the Auburn, Michigan teen, who
will turn 14 on April 14, 2007. Kamlay will take part in the annual New
Years Day Hangover Nationals with the same Super Late Model he ran at
the DeVos Place.

This time, Kamlay will take on the fast +AL0- mile semi-banked paved
oval of the Sandusky (OH) Speedway in Sandusky, Ohio. Kamlay will race in
the Open Competition Champagne Stocks Division which is a +IBw-Run What
Ya Brung+IB0- type division in the annual New Years Day events in
Sandusky, Ohio on New Years Day Monday January 1, 2007.

Then Kamlay will refocus his efforts on the 2007 season with his sights
set on a template bodied/crate engine Late Model for 2007 and a busy
+IBw-07+ACI- schedule throughout the state of Michigan.

Kamlay+IBk-s 2007 plans call for him to run the full schedule of events
in the Pro Late Models Division at the Dixie (MI) Motor Speedway,
located South of Saginaw in Birch Run, Michigan on Friday nights while also
running the full schedule in the Super Pro Late Models Division at the
Auto City (MI) Speedway, located North of Flint in Clio, Michigan on
Saturday nights+ACE-

+IBw-That+IBk-s going to be a lot of racing, but I think I can do it
because I like to race as much as I can and get as much seat time as
possible+ACE-+IB0- Explained Kamlay. +IBw-Plus it+IBk-ll give me motivation
to keep focused on school and school work so I can race+ACE-+IB0- He
stated.

+IBw-I had a really good time at Auto City in July when we ran the Mini
Stock on the 1/4 mile (He swept the entire program), and Dixie was very
interesting we went there and tested a Late Model to get a feeling for
the track.+IB0- Remarked the 13-year-old. +IBw-I got the basic set-up
down and got familiar with the facility and the track itself.+IB0-

In addition to his full schedule of weekly competition at Dixie and
Auto City, Kamlay also plans on running select events within the ASA Late
Model Series as well as the Super Pro Series when the Kamlay Racing
schedule allows and also may run select shows on the dirt tracks in
Michigan in a Late Model and a Sportsman car on off weekends.

+IBw-I+IBk-m looking forward to racing a couple of shows each in the
Super Pro Series and maybe one or two ASA Late Model Series shows to get
some experience in long distance races.+IB0- Continued the Auburn,
Michigan teenager. +IBw-That+IBk-s the biggest thing for me, is to get as
much experience as I can for the future.+IB0- Kamlay ended.
