Sikeston, Missouri (5/21/07) – After a weekend off to prepare their equipment Billy James and James-Robinson Motorsports will head to West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri for the 15th Annual O’Reilly Show Me 100.
Billy has run good in M.A.R.S. action at West Plains Motor Speedway, but luck has never gone his way at a Show Me 100. He hopes to turn the tables this weekend.
“Our slick track program has really picked up this year, and I think that we have our best shot that we have ever had at making a Show Me 100 feature this year. It just takes a good car and a lot of luck at a show of this caliber with this many good cars,” commented James.
The 15th Annual O’Reilly Show Me 100 pays $41,000 to win and $4,100 just to make the coveted 24 car starting grid. Action gets underway on Thursday night with an open practice. Friday night will see time trials and heat races, while consolation events and the Show Me 100 feature event will be held on Saturday night. On Sunday, May 27th, James-Robinson Motorsports will head over to Tri City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Illinois for the Fed Ex 50 paying $10,000 to win and $700 to start for Super Late Models. Billy has competed at Tri City Speedway several times before, but this will be the first time that he has raced at the facility since the ½ mile was shortened to a 3/8 mile.
