1st Annual Fed-Ex 50 at Tri-City Speedway on Sunday, May 28th!

Pontoon Beach, IL - Fed-Ex Corporation continues to expand their motorsports support and Tri-City Speedway is proud to have them come aboard to sponsor the 1st Annual Fed-Ex 50 on Sunday, May 28th. The $10,000 to win event for United Midwestern Promoters (UMP) Late Models will be a one day show following the Show-Me 100 held at West Plains Motor Speedway.

Some of the top late model drivers in the country have confirmed their plans to attend this event including Scott Bloomquist, Don O'Neal, Billy Moyer, Brian Birkhofer, Shannon Babb, Steve Francis, Jeep VanWormer & Randy Korte.

The Fed-Ex #11 NASCAR Nextel Cup car will also be on display at Tri-City Speedway.

The Crate American Racing Series (CARS) will also be in competition for a $1,000 top prize. The UMP Modifieds are also on the card with the winner taking home $1,000. The UMP Sportsman and Tri-City Street Stocks will also be in competition this night.

There will also be a "Lucky Fan Giveaway" in which the track will draw the names of eight lucky fans that will come down to the front stretch and join the top eight drivers in the "A Main". They will spin the "Fed-Ex Wheel To Win" which will determine which driver they will be paired with. If their driver wins the "A Main", that fan receives a Richard Petty Ride-A-Long experience at Gateway International Raceway along with a autographed helmet of the Late Model drivers in attendance for the Fed-Ex 50. They will also get a Victory Lane Photo with the Winner.

Reserved seats are $27 and General Admission seats will be $25. Kids 6-12 years old will be $10. Pit admission will be $35. The pit gate will open at noon and the grandstand gate will open at 5:00pm. Qualifying will get underway at 6:30pm and racing will follow immediately.

Tickets will go on sale soon for this event. Tri-City Speedway is located in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. The track is located across the Mississippi River from St. Louis, MO. Take exit 4 off of I-270 and then go a 1/2 mile south on SR 203.
