Livin' the dream.........
Due to circumstances beyond my control this race has been CANCELED!!!.

It was agreed that the motorcycle promoter would provide event insurance. Wednesday evening I was informed the insurer would not add the karters to the policy. I did everything possible to acquire an event policy, to include asking the owners of Bedrock to allow us coverage under their policy. I am very please with the response they provided and the support they have given me. They worked very hard to add the event to their schedule but, the bottom line is the paperwork can not be completed prior to race day.

I hope everyone understands the position I'm in and the disappointment I feel at this moment. Belle-Clair is a first class facility and the timing of the event should have placed kart racing in front of new faces. My intent was and is to introduce kart racing to new folks, provide racers with a great track, decent pay out and to have fun.

I will be working to schedule an event in the fall. I am confident all the "bugs" will be worked out by then.

Is it true someone is trying to get a Kart race at Highland Speedway?
 
What a bummer,thanks for the effort Toby.Sorry to say,what would have been a fun event will turn into a boring show with no one in the stands.Hopefully the bike group will try it again.Adding the karts makes it worth going to see.JMO
