2 Drivers killed today...

There was 2 drivers that died on the tracks today. First up in Iowa,there was a modified driver who died and Curtis Boyer also died at another track when his car flipped..... I saw it on 4m and dont really know the name of the modified driver....Does anybody know much about them??? Prayers goes out to both families...
 
Curtis Boyer isnt-that-who-drug-Mel-acrossed-Monkey-City-on-the-Back-of-a-modified~~still~Our prayers are with the family and friends
 
curtis boyer was in the #72 sprintcar that was in a vicious flip with another car at knoxville tonight live on speedvision. i saw the wreck. they would not show the replay. i could tell that it wasn't good after he stopped. :( may god bless him and his family. and the family of the modified driver.
 
here's what i got about the modified driver from a report in iowa :

Maynard Davis III of Runnells, Iowa #43D IMCA Modified Iowa State Fair Race,Des Moines. Reports I got was it happened within the first couple of laps in the A-Main..Two cars tangled and it appeared that the front bumper came thru the drivers side window area of Davis car. :( such a sad day.
 
Boyer

At the end of the Knoxville feature(around 12:30), I thought the announcer said that Boyer had just been transferred to "such and such" hospital, so I would assume that he didn't pass away, at least not as of that point in time.
 
i heard the same thing on tv. i didn't think he died until i saw this thread so i was explaining who boyer was and lets pray that we all got wrong info about him.
 
i sure hope he is ok that was one horrific crash. upsmanluvracin where did u see where it said he has died i cant find it anywhere and does curtis boyer have a website does anybody know thanks.
 
Where are you getting your information from? Just wondering cause I heard what everybody else did and saw what they say also. Just dont think it is good to spread rumors of someones death when its not true.
 
does anyone know yet for sure what happened to boyer i saw the crash and his head was on the steering wheel after the crash and the whole top of the cage was all messed up and they didn't make it sound very good after the races when all they said was he was transfered to another hospital.
 
if you go to 4m under the sprint car forum, there is a thread called I Apologize. this thread explains why they thought Boyer died and that it is not the case. I don't think anyone knows his condition yet, but there has been no confirmation of him passing away.
 
Bad weed you right ,Boyer did not die. I saw it on the 4m when Sapper said he did. I apologize also. But up in Iowa, the modified driver of Maynard Davis III did pass away... Sorry for the confusion and prayers goes out to both families..........

It Is A Reality Check. Everyone Heads To The Tracks For Some Fun, Never Expecting The Worse. People Should Always Make Safety Their Main Concern.

I Used To Race At The Fairgrounds In Iowa In A Modified And I Knew Bill Davis And Bill Jr But I,m Not Sure If They Are Related,thats A Sad Day Prayers Go Out To The Famiy
 
i just found out that boyer is in a des moines iowa hospital under sedation with brain swelling. still hanging on. good news.
